If you submitted an article to the Carnival of Investing, and it was accepted, it is only polite that you link to the Carnival as well. Being a host is not an easy task, and this provides more exposure for all participants. That’s the whole point of the Carnival, to share your content and others!
I can understand forgetting for a week, but if people submit to multiple Carnivals without any sort of mention back, I may have to change the rules for acceptance.

The only requirement to be eligible to host the Carnival is to have already participated in one. You can have a new blog, and old blog, a blog that writes only about money, or only occasionally about money.
